How ChatGPT Prompts Can Help You Achieve Your New Year’s Resolutions

Every New Year, many of us set goals and envision the things we want to accomplish in the year ahead. I recently shared some of my own resolutions on TikTok (check it out here).

Resolutions can range from simple tasks, like making your bed every day, to bigger lifestyle changes, such as losing weight or growing your career. No matter what your goals are, I’ve discovered a game-changing tool to help you visualize and achieve them: ChatGPT prompts.

Here’s how to use these prompts effectively to map out your dream life:

Step 1: Set the Vision

Start by asking ChatGPT the following prompt and answer each question as specifically as possible:

The Prompt:
“I want to create my goal and vision for 2025. Please guide me through this process by asking me 10 questions one by one, and when I'm done answering the 10th question please write my dream life story for 2025; what my 2025 affirmation will be and then my top 5 goals broken down by …”

At the end of the prompt, include areas of your life you want to focus on. For example, I wrote: “broken down by… family, friendships, my multiple businesses, money, body, and life.” You can personalize this with categories that matter to you.

Step 2: Answer the Questions

ChatGPT will ask you 10 questions—take your time and be as specific as possible. For example:

  • “I want to reach 50k followers on Instagram.”

  • “I want to earn $300k a year.”

  • “I want to buy a 3-bedroom house.”

Dream big and write your answers without worrying about how achievable they seem. You’re capable of far more than you realize!

Step 3: Plan Your Path

Once you’ve defined your vision, ask ChatGPT this:

Prompt:
“How do I get there? What do I need to do every day?”

ChatGPT will provide actionable steps tailored to your goals.

Step 4: Create a Schedule

Next, refine your daily plan with this prompt:

Prompt:
“Awesome, can you tell me exactly what my daily schedule should be? And include a goal tracker.”

This will give you a structured schedule and a goal tracker to visually monitor your progress.

Step 5: Turn It into a Table

Make everything easy to access by asking:

Prompt:
“Put this into a table so I can copy or download.”

You can copy this table, adapt it to your needs, and print it out for accountability.

Step 6: Write a Letter to Your Future Self

Finally, bring it all together with this heartfelt prompt:

Prompt:
“Can you turn all of this into a letter to myself—that I will open on 1st December 2025, reflecting the year that was? Include vanity metrics at the bottom from where I am starting today…”

Be sure to complete the prompt by including where you are today. Once the letter is generated, print it out and save it to read on December 1, 2025.

With these steps, you’ll have a clear vision, a plan to achieve it, and a personal reminder of how far you’ve come. Here’s to manifesting your dream life for 2025—let’s make it happen!
