From Bikinis to Balance: The Rebirth of My Blog
And just like that, I’m back to blogging—this time with a whole rebrand I didn’t exactly plan for. Life has a funny way of nudging (or shoving) you into change, so here I am, fresh start and all. Let me fill you in on what went down.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember me as Adri from A Little Bikini. That name wasn’t just a handle; it was my entire brand. A Little Bikini was actually my company, and when I launched my blog back in 2014, it perfectly reflected where I was in life. It was all about bikinis, body positivity, and finding the right fit for every body type. But as time passed and life happened—getting married, becoming a mom, moving cities—the name started to feel…off. Plus, the social media overlords decided my handle was “inappropriate” (seriously?). So, rebranding became a must.
When I first started blogging (and dabbling in YouTube—yes, that’s coming back soon, so stay tuned!), my mission was simple: help the girlies find bikinis that made them feel confident. I’ve always said, “Cheap bikini, cheap confidence.” And while I love a good deal as much as the next person (especially in this economy), bikinis are one area where I believe it’s worth investing. After all, you’re at your most vulnerable wearing one in public, so why not wear something that makes you feel amazing? My blog back then was all about sharing tips, tricks, and recommendations for bikinis that offered both quality and style.
But life evolves, and so did I. Moving to a city where the beach isn’t 20 minutes away and becoming a mom made it harder to focus solely on bikinis. My content naturally shifted toward wellness, fitness, fashion, beauty, and a little bit of everything in between. I still hold body positivity close to my heart, and bikinis will always be my first love, but it felt like time to embrace the chaos and reflect all the things that make me, well, me.
So, let me reintroduce myself with a little fun fact session:
I’m a mom to two amazing boys.
I married my best friend from sixth grade (though we didn’t date until 2014).
Our wedding? Jamaica. Perfection.
I’m a proud dog mom to three rescues: a three-legged Belgian Malinois and two Pitbull mixes. I foster dogs whenever I can, and my soul dog, Mukki, passed in 2023—I still miss him every day.
I’m a licensed esthetician since 2013 and run my own solo spa.
I have two master’s degrees in Communications and Marketing.
Once upon a time, I worked for Discovery Channel.
I recently became a certified dog trainer and work part-time in the field.
I create UGC (User-Generated Content) and even co-created a course for it (you can check it out here!).
After nine years as a vegetarian, I reintroduced animal protein in 2024 for health reasons.
Fitness has always been a part of my life, but I didn’t take it seriously until two years ago.
I take endless photos and videos because, hey, if my memory ever fails, I’ll have a treasure trove of moments to look back on.
So yeah, I’m a little all over the place—but that’s what makes life interesting, right? I realized I couldn’t box myself into one category anymore. That’s why I’ve rebranded as A Little Bit of Adri. It’s a name that reflects all my niches, passions, and the beautiful chaos of my life. It’s flexible, just like me, and it’ll grow with me as I continue this wild ride.
To my OG followers who’ve been with me since A Little Bikini: thank you for sticking around. To my new friends joining me now: welcome to the journey! Here’s to making 2025 our best year yet, full of wellness from the inside out, self-love, and all the little things that make life extraordinary.
XOXO,
Adri
