Forget ‘New Year, New Me’—It’s ‘Same Me, New Intentions’ for 2025!
Okay, can we stop with the "new year, new me" nonsense? Let’s be real—none of us are suddenly going to transform overnight. I mean, if we could just hit a magic reset button on December 31st and leave behind all our bad habits, the world would be a lot different, right? 😂 But here's the thing: instead of trying to become a completely different person in less than 24 hours, let’s do a little mindset shift. How about we accept who we are, love ourselves (flaws, mistakes, and all), and just move through 2025 with intention?
Here’s the truth—you can start something new ANY time. You don’t need to wait for a shiny new year to start that thing you’ve been putting off or finally stop doing the stuff that makes you feel like a chaotic mess.
Personally, I like to do a little "life reset" monthly. Yup, you heard that right—MONTHLY. I’ve got my big yearly goals (highly recommend you check out my last post and go make yours—RUN, don’t walk), but I also set small monthly goals so I don’t get overwhelmed. Because let’s face it, most of us fail at goals because we bite off way more than we can chew. For example, you wanna start hitting the gym and you decide you’ll go 4 times a week? Girl, let’s be real. You’re gonna be sore, exhausted, and probably just cry a little.
So instead of setting yourself up for a crash-and-burn situation, try this: "This month, I want to move my body at least 15 days." No time crunch, no guilt trips. It’s about consistency, not perfection. Going from zero to 100 isn’t realistic, and it’ll leave you discouraged faster than you can say "I’ll start Monday."
This 2025, I’m proposing we move with intention. We’re alive, we’ve got this beautiful opportunity to grow, and we get to choose what we want to focus on. So let’s stop beating ourselves up over the “mistakes” of 2024 and apply the lessons we learned. Let’s live consciously, love ourselves fully, and take meaningful action toward the life we actually want.
But what does that even mean—moving with intention? Well, it’s simple: it means not just going through the motions. It means living on purpose. Making choices that align with your values, your vision, and your long-term goals. It's about being present, mindful of your actions, and making decisions that bring you closer to the life you really want.
In short: stop letting life happen to you. Take control of your decisions, whether it’s in your career, health, relationships, or personal growth. Don’t just drift through the year like a leaf in the wind—be the one making waves.
Now, how do you actually do this? I’m so glad you asked. Here’s how to apply intention to your 2025 goals:
1. Ask Reflective Questions
"Who do I want to be in 2025?"
"What does success look like for me in three years?"
2. Set Clear, Purposeful Goals
Break your vision down into actionable steps.
"What’s most important for me to focus on?"
"How do these goals align with what truly matters?"
3. Focus on Progress, Not Perfection
Stop obsessing over the finish line and start small.
"What’s one step I can take today to move closer to my goals?"
"How can I track my progress and adjust along the way?"
4. Align Actions with Values
Make sure your actions match what you care about most.
"Are my actions reflecting my true priorities?"
"What do I need to let go of to focus on what matters?"
5. Promote Self-Awareness
Keep checking in with yourself.
"Are the choices I’m making aligning with the life I want?"
"Do I need to adjust anything to stay on track?"

By following these steps, you’ll make sure your goals are purposeful, aligned with your values, and focused on meaningful progress.
So, are you with me? Let’s ditch the "new year, new me" mantra and instead focus on clarifying what we really want and why—with intention.
Here’s to MASSIVE growth in 2025, bitches! 🚀 Let’s do this. 🙌
And, don’t forget your loved ones <3
